Well logging technique based on recording of the ambient noise inside a wellbore.
The noise originates from the reservoir flow, wellbore flow and flow turbulence around completion elements (like, valves, perforations and leaks).
It is considered as one of the key components of Reservoir Flow Profiling (RFP) alongside with Temperature Logging.
The most popular realization of Noise Logging is Spectral Noise Logging Tool (SNL).
