Specific Heat Capacity depends on the PVT conditions at which the heat transfer is happening and thus.
The two major heat transfer processes are isobaric and isohoric which define isobaric specific heat capacity c_p and isochoric specific heat capacity c_V, both characterising the properties of matter.
