Specific Pressure and Flowrate measurements with a purpose to analyze wellbore pressure response to flowrate variation in order to assess reservoir, well-reservoir contact and wellbore storage properties.

One of the two branches of Well Testing where static or dynamic pressure is the key element of analysis.

The interpretation of pressure tests is performed using the  Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA).

Formation pressure  $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}{p_i}\end{array} //]]>$, skin-factor  $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}S\end{array} //]]>$, transmissibility  $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}\sigma\end{array} //]]>$ and pressure diffusivity  $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}\chi\end{array} //]]>$ are called basic diffusion model parameters as they are essential components of all diffusion models.
