In multi-well deconvolution applications the above definition should be clarified as: 

DTR is a sandface pressure response  $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}p_{u,mm}(t)\end{array} //]]>$ in well "m" to unit-rate ( $//<![CDATA[ \begin{array}{l}q_m=1\end{array} //]]>$) production from the same well "m"
