Well logging with downhole logging tool conveyed with electrical cable (wireline) with surface-powered downhole logging tool and real-time data communication between surface panel and downhole logging tool.

The important feature of wireline logging is that after RIH, field engineer can see all logging data in real-time and dispatch commands which tool can understand.

This type of conveyance is used in vertical or slightly deviated wells.

Usually conveyed with wire-line (for ) and e-line coil-tubing (in horizontal and severely inclined wells).
