PLT (logging tool)

[ Production Logging Tool ]

Сased-hole production logging tool (and corresponding production logging surveillance) assessing the borehole flow profile: the amount of fluid going out to the reservoir or in the borehole via each perforation zone or tuning/casing leaks. 

The tool includes multiple sensors to assess the flow velocity and fluid type and correlate the tool location with OH logs.

The most popular measurement of the flow velocity is mechanical spinner.

PLT is essential part of the modern field development and helps understand injectivity or deliverability along wellbore ↔ reservoir contact.
