Synonym: Fluid Analysis = PVT Analysis


Part of the key areas of Field Study & Modelling and one of the Subsurface Production Disciplines, related to predicting dynamic fluid properties at various temperature and pressure and includes the following components: 

The alternative name is PVT Analysis and means that major  fluid properties are directly or indirectly related to the correlation between fluid's Pressure, Volume and Temperature.

The PVT Analysis term is a misnomer as some important dynamic fluid properties can not be accurately derived from Pressure – Volume – Temperature correlations.
