Part of the key areas of Field Study & Modelling
 and one of the Subsurface Production Disciplines, related to predicting dynamic fluid properties at various temperature and pressure and includes the following components: 



The alternative name is
PVT Analysis and means that major  fluid properties are directly or indirectly related to the correlation between fluid's PressureVolume and Temperature.


The PVT Analysis term is a misnomer as some important dynamic fluid properties can not be accurately derived from Pressure – Volume – Temperature correlations.
