The Oil Control is a misnomer as it does not correspond to any physical Lift Mechanism and in fact represents a mathematical technique to adjust simulated bottomhole pressure history to match historical oil production in each well.

It is not encouraged for practical applications.

Most reasonable use of Oil Control is to perform primary model runs to calibrate pressure and oil-in-place.

Once completed the history matching should be continued in Liquid Control or Pressure Control mode.
