In AGL the true reservoir Gas production rate is calculated as the difference between total measured produced gas rate  q^{\uparrow}_{GT} and Gas lift rate  q^{\downarrow}_{GL} which has been injected into annulus to support the fluid lift in the tubing:

(1) q^{\uparrow}_{G} = q^{\uparrow}_{GT} - q^{\downarrow}_{GL}
