Reducing the bottom-hole pressure by periodic RIH of the wireline-conveyed rubber plunger and POOH the wellbore fluid atop of the plunger.

The major difference with SRP is that it is not a permanent installation but a mobile wireline-conveyed operation.

It is usually sued in a new wells to stimulate the inflow and clean up debris after drilling.


It is also used to enforce flow for wellbore surveys (pressure build-ups and wellbore logging).
