Lithofacies are identified based on the:

Siliciclastic sedimentary rocks			Carbonate sedimentary rocks (Dunham 1962)
Conglomerates			Mudstone
Sandstone			Wackestone
Mudrock			Packstone
	Siltstone		Grainstone
	Shale		Boundstone
	Mudstone		Crystalline carbonates
	Claystone			Crystalline Limestone
	Argillite			Crystalline Dolomite
