A chemical substance consisting of two or more pure substances (called mixture components or mixture ingredient) with chemical bonding between components being weaker than that of between molecules of components. The chemical properties of mixtures may differ from those of any constituent components.
In petroleum industry the most popular mixtures are water (H2O), methane (CH4) and octane (C8H18).
