A property of Thermodynamic system measuring a change of internal energy $\begin{array}{l}U\end{array}$ with respect to the change of its entropy $\begin{array}{l}S\end{array}$ :

(1)	$\begin{array}{l}\displaystyle T = \left( \frac{\partial U}{\partial S} \right)_{V,N}\end{array}$

with volume $\begin{array}{l}V\end{array}$ and number of particles $\begin{array}{l}N\end{array}$ being constant.
