A long (usually more than 1,000 m) metal pipe, normally 1 to 3.25 in (25 to 83 mm) in diameter which is supplied spooled on a large reel at the surface.
While deployed in ta wellbore it can penetrate deep down the borehole and reach the bottom hole in a highly deviated and horizontal wells.
